Service Description
At Steam Foundation we dive into science, technology and engineering. Lessons are very interactive learning sessions. We introduce our members to a scientific concept through discussion, which in turn leads to practical science experiments for children. After school clubs give us the time to explore topics over and dig deeply into multiple aspects of the concept. The atmosphere in after school clubs is relaxed, this is not school, this is a club and we are hunting for knowledge! The big question is WHY? The other thing we want to have is fun! It is of the utmost important to us that all club members feel included and appreciated. There is no wrong answer! Some of the best scientific discoveries came about by accident! All we ask is that children come with an open mind and a willingness to participate. Our after school science clubs are a safe space where everyone can thrive and have fun. Cancellation Policy
1. Booking Alterations: After making a booking for any of our services (e.g., parties, workshops, camps, events), we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate alterations requested by the client. 2. Deposit and Full Payment: If a deposit has been paid and the booking cannot be rescheduled as requested by the client, the deposit becomes non-refundable. Full payment made for a booking is refundable with a 30% deduction. 3. Event Cancellation by The STEAM Foundation Science Club: In the event of cancellation by The STEAM Foundation for any reason, a full refund of the booking cost will be issued. 4. Sickness Policy: In case of an event cancellation by The STEAM Foundation Club due to illness of a member of staff. A full refund shall be returned to the client, minus a €10 administrative fee. 5. Attendees are kindly requested not to attend if they are feeling unwell, displays of a contagious disease or are self isolating. 6. Registration and Payment: Registrations are processed on a first-come, first-served basis. Payment in full is required at the time of registration, and it must be made via debit or credit card. 7. Withdrawals and Refunds: For all our services (e.g., camps, clubs, shows), written notice is required to withdraw from a camp or event. We will offer a full refund up to 5 x days before the event. After that we will offer 50% back up to 3 x days before the event and 25% up to 2 x days before the event. After that no refund is offered for cancelling your space within 48hrs of the event commencing. 8. Cancellation Policy: The Steam Foundation reserves the right to cancel sessions due to insufficient enrolment (with a minimum of 12 participants required for any class or camp). If a session is cancelled, a full payment refund will be provided. 9. Absences and Make-Up Classes: No refunds are provided for absences, and there are no make-up classes.
